Late R' Us

Well I guess the first thing to say is: better late than never.  Some of you may be thinking I missed the Thursday game, and I did, but let’s be honest.  Bears suck these days, which would have been an easy pick, even with the line 3 for the Bears. They are playing just awful, they can’t establish a run game, Cutler continues to disappoint and blame everyone else, and their secondary continues to allow big plays.  It is no surprise they lost. 



Without further ado, the picks of the week:
*Winning teams in CAPS

The Better than Everyone Else League:

VIKINGS -16.5 v. Lions
This line couldn't be high enough.  I like Matt Stafford a lot, he is a gutsy young quarterback.  He's playing hurt, and trying to carry a mediocre team. Expect the Lions to hang around for about 11 mins.

COLTS -3 v. Pats
Regardless of how badly that the Colts might be beat up, with an injured secondary and a decrepit running back ready to be put in the ground, Manning is just too damn good.  God this game will be good.

STEELERS -7 v. Bengals
Why are the Bengals getting 7? They get no respect from Vegas! Both teams are 6-2, but with the Steelers running game so hot, and Big Ben more solid than ever this game isn't as close as everyone thinks. Look for Troy Poluagoianwogiaugau to get at least one off of Palmer.

SAINTS +14 v. Rams
Remember when I said the line couldn't be high enough on the Lions game? Sorry, scratch that, Saints line couldn't be higher.  Colston has about 900 yards.

The No One Believes in Us League:

FALCONS -1.5 v. Panthers
I think that the Falcons are one of the teams that are flying under the radar, they are simply a well balanced team.  Most peole underestimate the Falcons, beware playoff teams.

SEAHAWKS +9 v. Cardinals
I wonder who we will get? Warner with 5 picks or Warner with 5 TDs?

BRONCOS -3.5 v. Redskins
Look for the Broncos to come back strong.

The Bubble League:

RAVENS -10 v. Browns
The Browns are SO AWFUL.

EAGLES +1.5 v. Chargers
Donovan is back in style for this West coast trip, look for the Eagles to show the West what hardnosed East coast football looks like.

The Everyone is Watching Another Game League:

JAGS +7 v. Jets
Maurice Jones-Drew goes crazy. End of story.

PACKERS +3 v. Cowboys
Cowboys aren't nearly as good as everyone else thinks. Romo is a choke artist.  Greenbay is pissed off from the last 2 weeks and go out and drop it on Dallas.

The Mary's School for the Blind League:

DOLPHINS -10 v. Bucs
I really like the Bucs to win this one, but they won't cover the spread.  The only team in the league that runs the Wildcat properly, Miami, is going to put up a lot of ground yards and make this a close one, but Tampa is flying too high after last weeks win.

TITANS -7 v. Bills
Jesus! Titans are 2-6 and they are giving 7 against a 3-5 team.  What an ugly game, but look for the Titans to tough it out.

RAIDERS -2 v. Chiefs
This game is like watching really ugly people make out. First you're grossed out, then your intrigued, and then it just gets boring.

Poor Redskins.
