Okay, so last week I (apparently) stood 'too far' away from the dartboard. Let this week serve as a referendum for my football picking prowess. (Since some of last week's picks were influenced by my brother's fascination with a character from Sex and the City.)
Wait, I'm doing a speed picking. So this serve as a referendum for my speed picking football prowess.
Still too lazy to do spread. Get over it.
CAPS does = winning team.
ATLANTA @ Carolina
Atlanta is a well-rounded team, and most importantly, their QB isn't Jake Delhomme.
Tampa Bay @ MIAMI
If anyone knows how to lose, it's Josh Freeman and the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Bucs' glorious winning streak ends at 1.
Detroit @ MINNESOTA
Although this is not the Detroit of last year, they still will struggle to compete against a team that is as well rounded as the Vikes. AP lands two TDs, and a highlight-reel run that involves an epic stiff-arm.
JACKSONVILLE @ New York Jets
This is my, sort of, upset pick of the week. I'm liking Garrard and MJD to get the job done against the Jets.
Cincinnati @ PITTSBURGH
Yet again, I am conflicted when making my pick for the Steeler's game. However, last week proved my gut right, in their triumph over the Broncos. I'd give the Bengals whatever the spread is, but Pittsburgh wins.
NEW ORLEANS @ St. Louis
Two words: Drew Brees
Buffalo @ TENNESSEE
Wow, I hope they don't broadcast this game near me.
Seattle @ ARIZONA
Two words: Retractable field
Dallas @ GREEN BAY
Two words: Lambeau Cold. But really, I don't see the Cowboys pulling it out this week.
PHILADELPHIA @ San Diego
I was going to pick against the Birds, because of the west coast swing and home field advantage for the Chargers...but, GO BIRDS.
New England @ INDIANAPOLIS
I don't even want to pick this game.
BALTIMORE @ Cleveland
The Ravens eviscerate the Browns - on national television.
I made this picks super fast. On an unrelated note, Happy B-Day G-Ma!
-Dan
